| The Westside Economic Collaborative (WEC) is a regional economic development organization that serves the six cities of Westside Los Angeles County: Beverly Hills, Culver City, Los Angeles, Malibu, Santa Monica, and West Hollywood.
WEC represents business, government, and residents working together to strengthen the economic vitality of this diverse, trendsetting region.
WEC's primary mission is to encourage businesses to grow, locate, and thrive in the Westside. We accomplish this mission in several ways:
- Connecting businesses with the resources they need to grow and thrive in the Westside through our network of partnerships with the LAEDC, Westside cities, major utilities, Chambers of Commerce, and others. These services are provided free of charge.
- Convening the annual Westside Economic Summit. More than 200 Westside business and civic leaders attended the Summit last November, which featured the first Westside Real Estate Forecast.
- Organizing the Westside Transportation Partners, which brings together regional businesses, business groups, and other large employers who want to engage in regional transportation issues and promote solutions that are crucial to our future economic growth.
- Leading the Westside Workforce & Education Partnership, a venue for workforce development institutions – from LAUSD adult high schools to universities – to coordinate activities and better align offerings with the needs of regional employers.
