Mike Child is a Managing Director of TA Associates. He has been with TA’s West Coast office located in Menlo Park, CA since 1982 and has made investments in the general technology area. He has been a Director of 15 TA portfolio companies which have had Initial Public Offerings including AST Research, Cadence Design Systems, Finisar Corporation, Novellus Systems, State of the Art Software, Sonic Solutions and Ultratech Stepper. He is currently on the boards of Eagle Test Systems and IPG Photonics. Mike has a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from UC Davis and an MBA from Stanford University.
