Walden invests across three focus areas - Digital Media, Technology-Enabled Services, and Internet Commerce. Over our thirty-two year history and nine funds, we have sought to back companies that are transforming their respective industries. With a dozen investment professionals headquartered in San Francisco, Walden is cross-stage in its focus, and geographically targets companies on the West coast. The typical investment size is between $5-10 million, and southern California has always been an area of great interest given the media and technology investment focus. A prominent example of this is VitalStream, an Irvine-based company providing rich media delivery services that recently merged with Internap (Nasdaq: INAP).
