John Wasley is the Managing Partner of Heidrick and Struggles' Los Angeles office. He focuses on senior-level executive searches for private and public companies, primarily in the real estate and financial services industries.
Before joining Heidrick & Struggles, Mr. Wasley was an Executive Director with Russell Reynolds Associates in their Los Angeles office. He started his executive recruiting career in 1997 as the Managing Director of another international search firm.
Prior to his recruiting career, Mr. Wasley served as Senior Vice President of People’s Bank of California, where he was responsible for managing the construction lending, special assets, and corporate real estate departments. Mr. Wasley also served as the Senior Vice President of PPCCP, a publicly traded mortgage REIT. Mr. Wasley began his career in acquisitions with a Los Angeles based real estate opportunity fund, ultimately becoming its Chief Financial Officer. He subsequently ran a private real estate development firm specializing in single family and multi-family real estate.
