Jeffrey Weiner represents companies and individuals in general business and securities law matters, mergers and acquisitions, and business financing and technology transactions. He has worked with a wide variety of clients, including successful entrepreneurs building businesses in a variety of industries, as well as with established companies, both public and private.
Mr. Weiner’s general business and securities law representation includes acting as primary outside counsel for a company, providing general ongoing representation and counsel on day-to-day as well as strategic matters. In merger and acquisition representation, Mr. Weiner has represented acquiring companies, target companies, investment bankers, special board committees, and investors.
He teaches legal aspects of mergers and acquisitions in the Mergers and Acquisitions Program at UCLA' s graduate school of management, The Anderson School. In business financing and technology transactions, Mr. Weiner has represented investors and companies in venture capital and other private equity transactions, as well as in public offerings and technology outsourcing and licensing transactions. He has authored and co-authored several articles on securities law and general business subjects.
Mr. Weiner has authored and co-authored several articles on securities law and general business subjects, and was a member of the Editorial Board of the California Business Law News between 1990 and 1992.
Mr. Weiner received his B.A. from UCLA, where he was the first UCLA Departmental Scholar in Political Science, and his J.D. from the New York University School of Law, where he was an Articles Editor of the New York University Law Review.
In 2006, he was named a Southern California Super Lawyer, as the result of a research project conducted jointly by Law & Politics and Los Angeles magazines.
