Kenneth C. Aldrich has more than 25 years of experience as a private equity investor and entrepreneur. He has provided early-stage funding for a variety of biomedical and technology start-ups, both individually and as a manager of various private investment partnerships. Mr. Aldrich is a Managing Member of Convergent Investors, LLC (also known as "CV-I") and Convergent Ventures II, LLC ("CV-II"). He is a member of the Board of Directors of Neurion Pharmaceuticals, Inc., a CV-I portfolio company, and a member of the Business Advisory Board of ORFID Corporation, a CV-I portfolio company. Through investments prior to the formation of Convergent Ventures, Mr. Aldrich is a founder of WaveTec Vision Systems, an ophthalmic device company and Lifeline Cell Technology. He has also been involved in a variety of other ventures outside the life science area, including his role as a current board member of Next Estate Communications, the world’s largest issuer of prepaid MasterCards. Mr. Aldrich previously served on the management team of the West Coast real estate department of a major investment banking firm, and subsequently as chief financial and legal officer of a public company which he helped to form and build. He practiced law in Dallas, Texas and Los Angeles, California, where he served with the firm of O’Melveny & Myers LLP. He holds a J.D. from Harvard Law School and an A.B. from Harvard University, both with honors.
